By request, I shall update my journal. It's a pleasant feeling knowing people care. I guess I can make this very "artist statement" - esque:

I'm a musician first and foremost (french horn). My love for art and drawing stemmed from this. I'd like to think myself creative but not to the extent as some people are. I started drawing Disney when I was younger. I must have drawn 1000 little mermaids which gave me a lot of practice. My love transferred over to anime and I began drawing popular anime characters. In college I discovered I was actually pretty good at copying drawings but I wanted to come up with my own original characters. I have a lot of pretty good ideas but it's hard getting them all down on paper. My fan base is too minuscule to devote too much time to that. When I do have time, I do it mainly because I enjoy doing it.


In art, I look for bright colors, strong lines, and movement. I've always been a huge anime fan and I find it an excellent muse. I love watching anime too and seeing all the different art styles. The characters are always so elegant.

I think my next piece will be an ode to some, in my opinion, best drawn anime characters.
